DECLARATION OF PARTY MEMBERSHIP
How to become a member of the HEMP Party.
Membership is open to all people who;
are eligible to be enrolled on the AEC electoral roll
support the aims and objectives of the HEMP Party
agree to accept the rules and regulations of the HEMP Party
To become a member of the HEMP Party just complete the authorised form.
MEMBERSHIP IS FREE!
The HEMP Party only grants membership to Australian citizens who are registered to vote and not a member of any other political party.
You must be currently enrolled to vote. Because the membership will be verified to ensure the HEMP Party is a legitimate political party with a genuine membership, you must be prepared to keep your electoral details up to date, and answer any query from the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) as to the correctness of those details.
You are eligible to enrol for Federal Elections if you:
are an Australian citizen or a British subject who was enrolled on 25 January 1984, and
are 18 years or older*, and
have lived at your current address for at least one month.
* You can enrol if you are 16 or 17 but you cannot vote until you turn 18.
Please provide the same details as are currently entered on the Electoral Roll.
Apply for HEMP Party membership using the online form. When you receive your confirmation email you will become a member of the party.
Print the membership application form using the onscreen menu and return the original with your details and signature.

Do we have your email address?
Currently, the HEMP Party is not yet registered in any Australian State or Territory to contest State Elections. Please choose the form for the Australian State or Territory and also register for your local State Branch and join the facebook group.
You must already be a Party member or the above FEDERAL Members form must be included for your State registration. Registration criteria differs for each State.
Currently, New South Wales and South Australia also require a membership application form.
New South Wales (HEMP NSW wants your form too)
The NSW Electoral Commission only accept paper ‘Declaration of Party Membership’ forms. You will need to print the form, fill in your details as they are on the Electoral Roll and post the form to the HEMP Party Secretary via snail mail.
In the box on the form; “INSERT FULL NAME OF THE PARTY AS REGISTERED OR TO BE REGISTERED“, please write;

To be eligible for registration, a political party must have at least 500 members who are registered Victorian electors and hold membership in accordance with the rules of the party. They must not be members of another registered political party or of a party applying for registration.
